Not even ten minutes after the IFB convention ended, I received a phone call from a friend of my moms, who is a photographer at NYFW. He asked me "how long until you can get to Lincoln center?" I felt like my heart jumped out of my damn chest. Maggie and I jumped into a cab and made our way with incredible excitement. When we got there with our two tickets to see Farah Angsana's show, besides the fact it was my first runway show, was pretty much the most surreal feeling I have ever felt. The energy and dimming of the lights, to the tall yet tiny models coming down the runway was priceless.

The IFB event was interesting yet influential. Being able to be in a room with some of the "top dogs" I mean some of them have been blogging for 5 years, and now I know to my obsession, I may not be the only one. Some of the speakers included Rumi Neely, one of my faves, Emily Schuman,Phil Oh, and Susie Bubble. I must say meeting BryanBoy was a breath of fresh air! Just when it seemed surreal, something amazing happened! You will have to wait till the next post! =]

All I have to say is for the past couple of days being in NY with family, friends and NY fashion week was simply amazing. I have not had inspiration to produce new jewelry in quite some time now. Sometimes the strangest things influence me to make jewelry. One time I went into a hardware store and asked myself, "what can I make out of fastening nuts?" I cannot even begin to think where the Scandinavian designer Fannie Schiavoni pulled the inspiration for these pieces.

Shotwell's first collaboratoin with the chanel from bloodlust turned out amazing. I had the opportunity to pick out some outfits for the photoshoot. She came with her amazing Zoe boots, and we worked around that. We wanted to do a vintage look, so she wore a floppy hat, ruffle top, vintage levis shorts, and vintage sunnies. The photos turned out amazing, and she looks super cute!
